NUA
NUA (Satélite K, 2018), “naked” in Catalan, is an album in which Judit Neddermann undresses. An album that explores the passage into adult life while keeping in touch and integrating childhood rather than escaping it. Songs that celebrate the cycles that life offers—marked by welcomes and farewells. It is an album that, contrary to the previous two, looks outwards: it takes us from the most intimate reflection to the widest thought about the world we inhabit; it challenges police impunity; it wonders about plight of the missing victims, always innocent; it sings to her people, searching for the light.
Pop, folk, and world music fused together under the production of Pau Figueres to bring us eleven original songs and two covers, a traditional Iberian song, and a song by Fito Páez.
